SkyX takes data acquisition to the next level with its SkyOne drone. SkyOne uses a long-range aerial solution for infrastructure monitoring. This could include anything from oil and gas pipelines to hydroelectric lines or even railroads. SkyOne’s VTOL ability means it can take off and land from virtually any location without a runway, pneumatic launcher, net, or other infrastructure.

WiBotic has commercialized technology developed at The University of Washington to deliver wireless power and battery intelligence solutions for autonomous robots. These fully autonomous robots are able to navigate and “think” for themselves; but, there is a problem. Their batteries do not last very long and recharging stations with physical contacts wear out over time.

“Simple things seem to derive the most pleasure from everyone” – Corporal Willy Corporal Willy with a Epilog 120 Watt Laser The very first time we tried doing a 3D carving, we took just two pieces of scrap wood and glued them together. I looked for two pieces that were not cracked or had any knots or other irregular surface features to them. However, as the machine finished the carving, a knot showed up right at the end of the Wolf’s nose. Rob made this one on a laser machine for a friend’s

In order to get more women engineers, we first need more girls interested in engineering. Roominate My interview on stage was with Bettina Chen, co-founder of Roominate, a construction toy targeted at girls, starting at age 6, with an emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering and
