Nail Clippers: This assembly has two parts. One part is used to help create an animation. The nail clippers model is a multi-body part with a very unique combination of sheet metal features with some basic surfacing features sprinkled in. There is an “in context” sketch feature that helps animate the flexing of the arms.
There is an assembly angle mate that is varied in the Motion Study to show the clippers opening and closing. An animation file is included showing the clipper blade range of motion with the arm geometry flexing. Refer to the assembly comment to learn more about how the Motion Study was created. Download this file to learn more about surface and sheet metal features and creating in context features in an assembly.
