For the next two weeks, high school students will compete in the FIRST ROBOTICS Championships, STEAMWORKS. SOLIDWORKS is a FIRST Crown Supplier in Houston & St. Louis. We are supporting a record number of 1200+ FIRST teams this season.
For the local teams, sponsorship includes our own employees as engineering mentors. Suchit Jain, mentors STORMGEARS FRC 5422 that won the New England District Granite State Event Safety Award and are on their way to the Championship in St Louis.
For the past 4 years, Earl Hasz mentors Andromeda One FRC 4905 Ayer-Shirley MA. By winning the Chairman’s Award they are on their way to the Championship. Their community outreach with team motto “Let’s build something amazing” has inspired even younger kids in the areas of STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art and Math).
Students use SOLIDWORKS to help design and manufacture components for their robots.
SOLIDWORKS customer AndyMark mentors their own teams and supplies thousands of components to FIRST teams around the world.
SOLIDWORKS customers Don Hutson, Mark Devitz, Paul Ventimiglia are great mentors too.
SOLIDWORKS Value Added Reseller, CADMES, Team Rembrandts, FRC 4481 Netherlands can make their robot “fly”.
SOLIDWORKS China VAR, SAHZE supports Nanjing FRC 5839 Blue Whales.
Thank you to our employees, customers, and VARS that mentor our FIRST teams. Thank you FIRST teams for using SOLIDWORKS.
I will be in St Louis with SOLIDWORKS user advocacy manager, Rachel York. Hope to see you there! Marie
