Re: Looking for a solution to help me draw a non-linear square root scale

so... is this an api question or a solidworks question

because SketchText Might work for you.

Add SketchText to a curve

Presumably, the intent here is to create a gauge face for displaying flow rate by measuring differential pressure.  The topic is described nicely here.

Re: Looking for a solution to help me draw a non-linear square root scale

but is it an actual API question or is it a solidworks designing question.

i know what he is trying to do, but why do it through a macro.  its a sketch on a gauge face.

i guess if you want macro for it you would need to do this

Curves can be retrieved from SketchSegments

2017 SOLIDWORKS API Help - GetCurve Method (ISketchSegment)

2017 SOLIDWORKS API Help - GetLength3 Method (ICurve)

then you would need to get all of your increments based on your non linear square root formula

Re: Looking for a solution to help me draw a non-linear square root scale

oh and then draw a bunch of lines at angles from the center of the Curve to a specific distance and then trim the sketch segments on the inside of the arc
