Hello,

I`m a constructor in the playground sector and our clients are willing to get nice renderings to present them.

My problem ist, that we don`t have any decoration elements like trees, plants, maby animals like dogs, people etc. to make our presentations more realistic.

I tryed to find some nice in the internet, but I only found 3D architecture programms and some graphic parts, that are not compatible to SolidWorks.

If I open 3ds Models, the problem is that most of them have like planes in the model and i can't hide them.

The other problem is that they are all without textures and I am not able to assign them.

To get to the point, I am searching for compatible 3D Design Models (in a package) for SolidWorks to buy.

I would be really greatful if somebody could help me

Kind regards, Sebastian

Re: Where can I find (Buy) some 3D Models like trees, plants, people, ... maby as whole package?

You should be able to find many on 3dcontentcentral.com and other similar sites.

I'm not sure if TurboSquid has all the different one you need but worth checking.

Hi Sebastian, one thing to note is that adding a lot of this extra detail into SolidWorks will really bog it down.

What rendering software are you currently using? Note Keyshot and SW Visualise will open 3ds, obj, etc type files which can be added to your scene easily.

As Deepak Gupta noted, Turboquid is awesome for this type of thing, and xfrog is worth a look as well.

Actually I am rendering with SolidWorks itself and it works super

Would you prefer a other way to render our projects, if yes why and what are some advantages of outsourcing it to an other programm?

Thanks for your answers!

The first step i took was to look on 3dcontentcentral, but if you look there for trees, you just find so really cheap looking and unprofessional ones, most of the parts you find there are just for technical usage.

TurboSquit was one of the other sites I looked on, but there are just a few models I would need, and if possible, i would prefer a professional package with much more models for our company with rights for using and publishing.

Sebastian,

If you're not worried about spending some money then you could purchase Xfrog & create your own trees & plants.
