I have received an error stating "Unable to allocate memory" when running an FEA on an assembly. It has run for about an hour and a half, but then presents me with this error which causes the simulation to fail. How can I fix this? So my simulation begins by milling the part from the bottom... Then finishes drilling the final holes at the top... I want to complete the milling process from the top of the part since the mill is a 2-axis. Any Ideas? SolidworksSimulation

hi, When I perform an H Adaptive Study Solidworks gives me a convergence graph with on the horizontal axis the loop number and on the vertical, Normalized Value. I have a graph that shows no convergence but both the line for von Mises and Resultant Displacement meet at the value zero for the normalized value. What does this mean? SolidworksSimulation

Hey guys, I am wanting to find out the max force that needed until deflection begins on this part below. Is there a way this can be done using Solidworks simulation? Essentially I want a fixed constrained as shown below. The idea is to apply a force on the highlighted surface in blue and the determine the max force it will take until this part starts to deflect. I had a simulation project I was working on yesterday crash, and now the simulation tabs won't load anymore. Simulation tabs loads on other files and earlier versions of this file. Any ideas on how to fix this? It also looks like I could start new simulations on the crashed file, but I have lost all previous work.

I need to define the fixtures and loads for the model attached, it is one half of the pair of scissors. I am thinking of adding a hinge fixture to the axis and a load where the finger would go. I am not sure whatsoever -- how can I model the static analysis for this pair of scissors? All help is appreciated! SolidworksSimulation

Good morning, I´m new here and try to simulate a mixed model with shells and solid parts. In the shell manager are all sheets listet which are going to mesh as shell. Unfortunetly there is un error when I try to mesh the whole assembly: The thickness for one or more shells are not defined! How can I find the shell which is not correctly definded?

Dear Gents, I Designed A Hydrolic Hot Press and everything was OK, while I tried to do Simulation either Static or Thermal I couldn't find any results, it stays for more than 10 Hours in meshing with no results at all. Please tell me if I miss something. Thanks, SolidworksSimulation

I'm simulating tubing in a nuclear steam generator to see the heat transfer characteristics. I know what the flow rate, pressure, and temperature need to be on the inside of the tube, and what the starting temperature and pressure needs to be for the subdomain. I'm not sure how to set it though. Help would be appreciated.

So I am trying to add kinetic friction for the "non-linear dynamic study" on the red circle (on the bottom surface of red circle) ? The way i did is to use contact set feature and input friction ?
