Design Table I created DT for book case to make ‘Narrow’ and ‘Wide’ configurations. To get a proper book case like structure I edited DT and filled the cell with ‘Narrow’ and ‘Wide’ but it is default to ‘Default’ word after closing and opening the DT.
What is the way to have different Global Variable values for each configuration? Because even though I gave a different Global Variable values for each configuration, it took up the default configuration values. A window pop-ups but it has two separate question with one answer.
I just installed SW2018 last week. I've not had this issue before so I think this may have something to do with the update. When I insert a design table into a part, after creating the table, it does not show up in my feature tree.
Is there a way to configure a design library feature from a design table in a part? I have tried $configuration @ featurename in the design table but that doesn't seem to work. The library feature has six configurations and the part has six configurations.
Is there a way to drive the name and/or part number from an equation in a Design Table Excel sheet? Let's say I have a part named "X.sldprt" with an open-ended configuration publisher allowing me to enter the length when I insert a new part. I want new configurations to be called "X- ".
What's the difference between these three features which seemingly perform similar tasks? I wish to create one "master" part wherein only one dimension changes (Length) then insert different lengths of that part into an assembly.
I have a Design Table with a list of configurations for a part. I have the following columns: Length@Boss-Extrude1, $COLOR and $DESCRIPTION. The material is aluminum and the color will either be anodized (clear, black) or powder-coated (yellow).
I have an assembly model with multiple configurations. I use equations to suppress some parts according to a defined conditions. How can i disable an equation in a certain configuration? In order to clarify my question I attach a simple example.
why aren't there some hidden UIDs for configurations to which parts in assemblies are linked to. Assuming you rename a configuration it would break a link to that configuration in assembly and use some another because apparently it's linked to configuration name instead I assume... Basically you are screwed if you got some standard part which is used in 100 other assemblies.
I am inserting a Part into a Part and I don't see a way of choosing a part configuration when inserting like when in an assembly. Is this possible? Jive Software Version: 2016.3.9.0, revision: 20171215204634.b96715f.release_2016.3.9
