I just had my work computer completely rebuilt and now I'm seeing a weird behavior in Solidworks that I can't figure out how to fix. I've googled quite a bit and I'm at a loss. Formerly, clicking on "Move/Rotate Component" in an Assembly would automatically surface the menu for that function to the top on the left of the screen.
I can't seem to get the viewport to lock the rotation around the vertical axis. I often use the hot keys to quickly rotate the model scene around in a locked axis but can never seem to get this valuable function to work at all for the vertical "Rotate about scene floor".
Model keeps dropping Today, when I started solidworks and opened a part, something new came up. A small simbol in the center of the canvas (check the attachment), and the part kept slowly dropping by itself.
When I type in a part number In the search bar at the top of the tree, it finds the part(s) ~ in the tree, but it used to hide everything else in the graphics view. It doesn't anymore. I'd like to have it hide everything again ~ like its supposed to.
I'm a student looking to get a 3D mouse. All of the new 3dconnexion gear is out of my budget so I was looking at buying a used Spacepilot (not pro) on eBay. I know that it is no longer officially supported, but I was wondering if anyone had gotten the Spacepilot to work with the latest Solidworks release (I'm using 2017-2018 Education Edition).
Save Bodies tool is missing in my SWX. How to get it back? honestly I have never seen that option under the save dialogue as you show in the image. maybe it is from an older version or only applies in the context of multibody parts.
I want to install the Toolbox but Toolbox Library is missing in Add-ins.How to fix this issue?Okay I have found the problem. My licence is standard version. Toolbox is not available for standard version.
I wish to know whether it is possible to save custom command bar setting and activate it after an upgrade of SWX. Yes, Maha... Use the Copy Settings Wizard prior to performing a "new" upgrade installation.
We would like to update you on upcoming changes to the SOLIDWORKS user interface that we are implementing based on the continued feedback from users through the forums and other sources. You can sign up for the EV program throughhttp://www.solidworks.com/sw/support/EarlyVisibility.html.
Dynamic Highlighting Why does this Dynamic highlighting turn itself off and how can I stop it? It turns off random, sometimes usually while am in the middle of a command like adding dimensions on a drawing sheet.
