I've used one and the same feature to add edge flanges to all four sides. Two of the sides have shorter length by modyfing the flange profile for them and adding shorter dimension. I now want to change the angle between them by moving the wider one so it goes further down and closer to the smaller one. As seen in the smaller black example.

Want to put a duplicate bend note on the right leg. Copy pasting the bend note disassociates it from the part. A linked note has different spacing and requires another view. Thank you

Sheet metal bend lines show up in my assembly. When I open an assembly that contains bent sheet metal components, all the bend lines are showing. I can make the bend lines go away by opening the various sheet metal part models and then closing them. This can take a while if there are a lot of sheet metal parts in an assembly.

I'm requiring the bounding box area to be in the custom/configuration specific property tab so I'm able to use it elsewhere later on. I'm only requiring this on a sheet metal parts so I can do some pricing up later on. Its frustrating as i can see the bounding box area in the cut list properties but don't know how to link it to the custom property tab.

Is there a way to consolidate these bend note tables with a grouping of like call outs in the bend table? Seems redundant when, in this case, all bends are the same. I don't think you can like is done with a Hole Table.

I'm in the process of automating DXF creation at a sheet metal fabrication company. I found this macro (https://forum.solidworks.com/message/578524?q=assembly%20dxf%20pdf) on the forums to be the closest one to suiting my needs, which is to export a DXF of the flat pattern of each sheet metal part in a top level assembly and create a PDF of the associated part drawing. After adding a command in the macro to include the bend center lines in the export, since this macro didn't, it's ALMOST doing

Good morning all, I always seem to have issues when trying to convert an irregular curve into sheet metal. Please see the attached file and the below snip.

Please see the attached images. I want to be able to unfold this part so it is parallel with the horizontal plane. The default result is as shown in Image 1; pivoting from one end so the flat pattern is on an incline.

I'm building multibody sheet metal weldments in a single *.sldprt file. (if a part is all welded I've traditionally drawn it as a single *.sldprt) Probably the most annoying thing that has plagued me over the past years has been the instability in my method of cutting intersecting sheet metal bodies.

From when I first started using SWX I asked this question and have never gotten a solution. ( I am using SWX 2015 sp5) We do most of our own machining and only a small portion is on sheet metal (usually aluminum) and we typically use thicknesses on .125 and less.

I have a part that was converted to sheetmetal. This process did not create a flat pattern configuration, and thus there is no flat pattern view in the drawing file. Is there a way to fix this?

It is possible to have access trough c# on this value --see combo box. I have a drawing wich contain multiple solid parts onto one sheet, but only one is associated with the drawing block description (could be default view or Drawing View XX). I want to take the custom properties of that model and save the PDF with some custom properties parameters on the filename (ex. )

I did a 90 degree test bend of a mild steel sheet with a thickness of 3mm. Calculated the K-factor of the test piece with reference to calculation mentioned here —http://www.javelin-tech.com/blog/2017/06/calculating-bend-allowance/

I'm working on a metalsheet project with a 20mm bend radius which is bend in an angle: The only problem is that the real life prototype is not quite as neat as the sw model.
