I wish to know whether Shut-off Surfaces will work in this case. Because it is not coming may be the reason it is crossing the parting line. Redecos Technologies Aug 23, 2017 10:56 PM (in response to Maha Nadarasa) Shut off surface may not be practical over here.
Sorry for my very bad English. I learn to create injection molds using a standard sequence of instruments (as in a well-known educational lesson with the housing of the handset). I have no problem with creation of cavity and core for the one part, even if have to edit the surface manually.
I am just starting in Molding design, for some reason I can not get this to work , I tried automatic parting surface and this one I created manually but still does not work, I would appreciate any help.

We are expected to design the mold for the part so it can be inction molded (We will not physically create any parts however). Hello Friends, I need your help... I have a mold tool in parasolid format. the part data is changed and I want to use new part data in the place of existing part data. How can I generate new core and cavity profile. Mold tool is not designed using solidworks.
I am a Plastic & Die casting parts designer, So I use Draft Analysis tool more frequently. I am using Solidworks 2014, facing problem with Draft Analysis tool It working initially after that not opening even Clicking on this Tool.
I've created a Master model to create the overall shape of a plastic enclosure, then used Split feature to save off front and rear halves. Then added all the necessary detail to the two halves in their individual part files. And made an assembly from those part files.
