I've read that it is not possible to impart a simulated spin or movement to a part or an assembly being put through a simulated wind tunnel testing scenario within SolidWorks. I don't know if this is true across the board with all versions of SolidWorks or if it only applies to my older version of SolidWorks. If this is true, are therework-aroundsthat any of you more experienced SolidWorks users have developed?

I've noticed my cut-plots have limited boundaries, which seem to be constrained by the rotating region. How can I obtain continuous pressure contours throughout my computational domain? Is there any secret option I have missed?
I am trying to design a pipe system with a pressure drop of less than 10 bar. The pump output pressure is 110bar, the output pressure is expected to be at least 100bar. However, when I try internal flow simulation and external flow simulation with the same boundary conditions applied, the results are totally different as shown below.

I am new to using SolidWorks Flow Simulation. I am trying to run a simple laminar flow over a flat plate with constant heat flux analysis. I used SDC "An Introduction to SolidWorks Flow Simulation" (Chapter 2 Flat Plate Boundary Layer) as a guide however I tried to add a constant heat flux (q" = 5e+015 W/m^2) at a certain location (Image 2 between 10 and 10.01mm) but when I run my analysis the Temperature plot that is created does not seem correct(Image 1). I believe my issue lies in defining my
porous media velocity results How does Flow Simulation calculate the average velocity on the surface of porous media? If I look at a contour or isoline plot of velocity on the surface, the result values make sense.
Hello, I'm trying to do a flow analysis on a direct fire vegetable oil heater, but I'm getting wrong results, so I'm assuming I'm missing something. As Initial condition I just increased temperature at 330F, keeping pressure at ambient.
For example: I have set a goal "mass air flow" , now from that goal i want to take the numbers/results and pull an average out of them but only for the results of the first 0.5 seconds out of the whole 2 seconds that my time dependent flow simulation lasts, and set that average as a goal so i can do otimization based on it. Is this possible by using a custom goal? Haven't used that option at all. Using sw 2016.
I am modeling an aerator with the free surface feature. I set the overall domain to water and because I don't have a fixed volume of air I set a mass flow inlet of air to a lid placed at the inlet to the aerator. The simulation and mesh start up but then fail with "Solver abnormally terminated" but with no warnings in less than 100 iterations.

Solar chimney simulation I'm currently doing a project on solar chimney and how they can be used in a house. i chose to do the simulation on solidworks but i'm having some trouble setting up the boundary conditions properly. At first i used environmental pressure at all openings but this is creating a vortex and the results doesn't appear to be good.
