i need to simulate some inlet geometries designed as different diffusors. The water flow stream will then impinge on a stack of plates, which will be 300um thick and also with a 300um spacing between them. In order to check these inlet geometries and flow distribution on the flow channels i will first need to do only stationary flow simulation without any heat transferring, just flow. In addition, i will be in very laminar flow range about reynolds numbers of ~50 to 200.

I need to use sewage water as fluid in flow simulation. how can i do that if it's possible. I have few details like sludge consistency is about 5%. and Specific Gravity is 1.03.

Hello my name is Mael and i need to use flow simulation for a Highschool project which contributes to my degree. So I have a problem with Flow simulation, Indeed, I created a fan and I would like to simulate the flow of the Air coming through the fan. Now, whenever I increase the speed of the rotating region, the flow of the Air doesn't change at all. That doesn't seem correct to me, If someone could help me please.

Heat exchanger with helical baffles I'm currently working on a project of heat exchanger with helical baffles with both water entering in the tube and the annulus side. Dimensions of the geometry is used attached here.

I am analyzing flow pattern of liquid in a large a tank. There is one entry (volume flow rate) and one exit (atmospheric opening). Practically there is always air at top of tank, but Flow simulation fills the tank fully with water. I have tried a method of fluid sub-domain, but I think it is not a correct method.

I am creating an internal fluid flow simulation. The model is am testing is a Y pipe junction, with three inlets (2 lines coming in at 45 degrees, one in straight) and one outlet (in line with the straight inlet line). Like this...... in ->- out

In other words, can I subject an object/part to two distinct gas vectors at the same time? This is very important in terms of aerodynamic design work (propellers/wings). For example, when using the flow simulation wizard I can see a way to set up a vector in the XYZ direction.

I am currently working on my project about double pipe heat exchanger with helical baffles. The goal is to compare them according their heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop obtaining the optimum case. I am newbie in flowsimulation and i am having trouble getting paramters from the results. Any helps and tricks.

Here a quite common question that I have found on forums but without a satisfactory answer : with cpu is faster for flow simulations? I have the impression my workstation is not optimal for flow simulation solving, and I have to face a big workload every day.

Flow Simulation moving parts Hey guys, I'm a student and am having a tough time finding literature for FlowSim so I figured I would ask and someone could point me in the right direction.

how can I find the amount of air going through a certain crack between the inside of a house and the outside, assuming I know both inside and outside pressures and temperatures? Using flow simulation. The pressure difference is small.

Hi, im doing a flow simulation with compressible gas (air) but at higher flow rate something always goes wrong. Until about 7 l/min everything looks good, the pressure start convergence, ∆P is about 0,5 bar what looks realistic, but over 8 l/min the pressure goes up

I have a simulation that I will be running a Flow Rate past a turbine and I need to determine the rotational speed. Is this possible and how would it be set up? I also asked this before when i was in Micro hydro project, currently this is not possible in solidworks, i will try to find the question i raised before and post it here

Basically I have a display module inside of a box. I want to put forced air inside it going at 2m/s. I know that FloEFD has fans to deal with this, however I cannot seem to understand how to specify the air it pulls in to go at 2m/s.

I just can't believe there is no way to reuse an adapted mesh generated during a multi-day run. Can someone tell me how to save and reuse a large mesh? (no change to geometry).

Joule Heating Tutorial Is there any tutorial for setting up a Joule heating simulation or does anybody have any tips? We have a need to run a study using it but I am not sure what inputs are required to start such a study.

I want to compare several different fan blades to determine which one "moves" more air. I want to output MASS FLOW RATE, but this is only a goal...not an option for results. Doesn't the mass flow rate vary throughout the flow volume just as the density likely varies throughout? Shouldn't I be able to look at a cut or surface plot to see these results?

I am interested in comparing several different fan blades using flow simulation. The fan blade is located inside of a tube, so I would like to do an internal flow simulation. What metric do I use to compare the different fan blades?
