I am new to Solidworks Electrical, would like to know the difference between Line diagram and power. I noticed that some symbols present in power are not present in line diagram. Please I need an explicit explanation.
I've created a connection table for a connector that has pins scattered throughout the schematics. The intent is to ease look up of destination for a particular pin. However, when I place the connection table the ordering seems somewhat random. I would like to order the table by the pin (origin) number.
This item is new one "orientation" in 2018,as image, I don't know how to use it, also I read "the help-Orientation: Allows you to specify the orientation of the connection point, specifically for the terminals." I can't understand.
I have two single wires that I want to be twisted together when the panel is being built. Maybe I am missing it, but I can not seem to figure out how to show that these wires are supposed to be twisted pairs?
I am working in a line diagram and so far I have been able to connect a cable to a connector at each end. However these connectors then plug into other components and I want to define this connection somehow. I have the connector and the components next to each other/touching in the line diagram - this usually associates a cable and a component but I don't think it does anything if it is two components. Can anyone tell me how I can do this?
When l try to "Show Wire Marks" I get a message: Cannot run "Show/hide wire marks". Selection does not include the following data: "Equipotential mark". The wires are terminated on one end by a BNC connector and other end on a terminal.
Hide automatically created "connection symbols" For every part that consists of various electric symbols (ie: A relay with coil and contacts), Solid Works Electrical automatically places a symbol on the schematic that represents the circuits currently used and those which are not used ( I call them "connection symbols").
As you can see from the blue sections, I have wire numbers that are correct but I also have wire numbers that corespond to the next line. I don't understand how I have duplication of rows 10 and 24. I ask for 14 rows with 9.15 working distance and -.652 for the height. I'm hoping if I correct the row situation I will correct the confusion with the wire numbers.
This has happened around a dozen times, and I don't know what I am doing to cause it. When I add some components, it duplicates an existing location for every instance. The sheet has a default location, but the component does not see to have any location information attached to it.
Solidworks Electrical weird routing results I have been testing Solidworks Electrical for a while now and made ~80% of first project - made most of the electrical schematics (2D). SOLIDWORKS ECUCIONES tengo un pequeño inconveniente con las ecuaciones en el software me dice que tengo un error en la sintaxis de la ecuación y no me las deja agregar, ademas todas las piezas que tienen ecuaciones no las actualiza cuando se cambia de una configurar a otra. como es el caso de los componentes de la biblioteca de diseño para el routing.
So I was under the impression that Solidworks Electrical had over 500,000 parts form different suppliers in their library. However after paying for the software I found these had to be downloaded from their portal (which is fine) but what I've now realised is that 99% of these parts are incomplete. In Solidworks Electrical almost all of them don't have the most basic information needed to make line drawings/schematics/3d assemblies. Surely I must be missing something - does anyone know if these
