I am having an issue with one file as i have restored the EPDM database after moving a Lic. Manager, SQL Database & Archive server in to the new hardware. after completion of restoration when i opened the specific file in it what i found is that it is not as which i have last save or check in to the vault so here in this case i want to find that file in to my old vault archive database (hexa folders) i have tried out to find the same by doing windows file search at top right corner of the screen
I goofed. We are on PDM 2016. It appears I've left (2) files checked out on a PC where (I believe) it was from an old vault view (2015). I've tried logging into that PC and "Undo Check Out" and "Check In" but no success.
I found the SP3 installation and am running it. It gets to the "Summary" page, but the "Download and Install" button is grayed out and won't let me proceed with the installation. When I let my pointer hover over the button I see the message "Select your Toolbox installation method", but I'm not sure what I should do from here.
I originally tried installing 2017 SP3.0, but the installation failed so I uninstalled and reinstalled 0.0 hoping to upgrade to SP3.0 after a successful installation. It looks good except when I try "Search for Updates" it's only finding SW2018 Beta. How do I get SP3.0?
If you're like me and find yourself doing all of the administrative stuff to your Win10 PC you're going to love this. I understand it's a Windows perk or whatever you call it, a golden egg? Not in general release I guess.
Did you know that Solidworks rescinded the ability to activate your license on two separate machines? This was super handy when you had a portable laptop and an office computer setup. Or, some call it a "home" license, allowing you to activate at the office and at home. Now we have to transfer our license between the computers or purchase an additional license for the second machine.
I have a drawing that someone else created and I need to save it as a pdf file so I can view the legend more clearly. I cannot find a "save as" option. Are you using SolidWorks or DraftSight (seems like DraftSight)
Take a look at my workstation build and lets have suggestions on how I can improve it: I realize the motherboard is a bit over the top, but there are not that many x266 chipset boards available yet, and this one is certainly packet with features with many add-on upgrades already on the board. From the reviews I have seen it's a beast.
I installed 2015 quite a while ago, and I can't remember exactly how I got the serial number or what the number is. Is there a way that the program can generate it for me? Sachin Malenahalli Murigesh Jul 13, 2017 9:02 PM (in response to Richard Bennett) Help --> About SolidWorks --> Click on show Serial Number
I know that some mice allow the wheel to be pushed sideways for horizontal scrolling (left to right; sideways). Is anyone using this functionality for panning the viewport horizontally? well, till now i couldn't find anyway to do this, if i found a solution i will post it here, and if you are already found a solution please share it.
Dear Solidworks Forum Admins Can you make a badge system of some sort, or even link the forum to our solidworks certifications to use as badges. I think this would be helpful to see who is the master at answering questions, and who's answers may be correct.
Your favorite Solidworks error messages I wanted to start a new thread where we can collect some of the craziest messages that we get when working with solidworks. Please try to insert the image into the text using the insert image button.
This has been a huge problem for the last 2 years for me (longer if you search the forums) and there has yet to be a proper solution offered. When trying to deploy SOLIDWORKS 2017 via command line the installer stops with an error 1722 then backs the install out.
Installing SW14 error 1722 .dll /regserver As the title states I am having an issue with installing SW14 via the .msi that i have created through SW's tool. I am using SCCM 2012 to deploy it but Im still at the .msi testing phase.
While going thru the upgrade from 2016 to 2017 process on a development server, I'm having issues where the SQL database will not update. Error: Failed to upgrade: Error updating triggers and stored procedures
O Dear....We are testing SW2017-SP4 EV for stability / PDM Add-in improvements. BEWARE ! We have come across a new issue where closing drawings causes SW to hang until the '...encounters an error and has to close' message.
I've got some kind of glitch with my customer portal profile where the early visibility service packs don't show up even though I'm enrolled in the program and have an active subscription.. I noticed that SP4.0EV is up and I was wondering if someone could copy the "download" link for the Solidworks installation manager on this thread.
